Supervision

Student employees must be supervised by a permanent staff or faculty member, not another student of the department or organization.

Supervisors, should

  • be present on a regular basis,
  • oversee the student's work,
  • provide regular and consistent guidance and feedback to your student employee, and
  • sign all forms and approve timecards by stated deadlines.
