Hearing Conservation
This program establishes procedures to eliminate potential noise exposures through effective engineering and administrative controls. Hearing protection must be used when effective engineering and administrative controls are not feasible. This program establishes the procedures for noise reduction, noise monitoring, and audiometric testing (i.e., hearing testing) to prevent hearing loss from occupational noise exposure.
