Latinx/e Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month, also known as Latinx/e Heritage Month, is an annual celebration observed in the United States from September 15th to October 15th. It is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the rich cultural heritage, history, contributions, and achievements of Hispanic and Latinx Americans. This month-long observance encompasses the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Chile, which gained independence from Spanish colonial rule during this period.
At Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ we celebrate this month with a bit of a longer stretch than the nationally recognized timeframe, so that our community can focus on the transition to the start of the academic year.
to be featured in the Latinx/e Heritage Month list of events.
Please note: Programming for Heritage Months/identity-based recognitions are listed based on the submissions received.
