Hilary Zimmerman
Dr. Hilary Zimmerman is the Director for Diversity Initiatives, Evaluation & Assessment. In her role, Hilary supports assessment and evaluation efforts related to diversity, equity and inclusion across Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ. She works to support data-informed initiatives, programming and growth across Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ by preparing reports, running analyses and creating data visualizations that provide ways to explore and assess inclusion, diversity and equity.
Prior to joining the OIDI team at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, Hilary served as the Director of Institutional Survey Administration at Loyola University of Chicago where she was also a faculty affiliate in the Higher Education program in Loyola’s School of Education. At Loyola, Hilary worked to support cross-campus partnerships in data stewardship and various projects related to student, faculty, and staff success. Throughout her educational journey, Hilary has worked in fraternity/sorority life, student organizations and conduct, and co-curricular assessment. She has also worked on faculty-sponsored research regarding broadening participation in computing and spent time on survey design and implementation at the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI). Hilary enjoys finding ways to help people understand and use data in their decision-making.
Hilary earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences with a minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Minnesota. She holds master’s degrees in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University and the University of California, Los Angeles. She also holds a doctorate in Higher Education and Organizational Change from the University of California, Los Angeles.
