Spirituality Reading Series - Fridays starting Feb 3
Fridays at 3 pm | The Reflection Room at The Black House
Religious and Spiritual Life invites the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ community to Rest & Renew this winter quarter and Black History Month as we engage with Tricia Hersey's text, Rest is Resistance. Let us lean into rest, and Hersey's own influences from Womanist (theology) and Afrofuturist thought; as it informs the practice of prioritizing rest as "resistance" and "reparations."
Join us Fridays at 3:00pm CST, starting February 3rd in the Reflection Lounge at The Black House (1914 Sheridan Road).
Please register by Monday, January 23rd
Registered participants will receive the following:
- A hardcopy of the book, Rest is Resistance, and/or digital access to the text;
- Weekly snacks and community with facilitated dialogue;
- A special invitation to the Rest and Renew brunch and retreat, on Sunday, January 29th
Upon registration, participants will receive a detailed email with information regarding book pick-up (or digital access).
