Are you a Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ undergraduate who would like to talk with somebody about fine-tuning your academic goals or study strategies, or about academic challenges you're facing? ASLA staff members Shawn Bush and Sabrina Abdulla-Wolphe are available to meet with you, to help you find the best resources and develop a plan to achieve your goals.
Meet Shawn! Shawn (he/they) works with a wide variety of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ undergrads, from first-years to seniors. Shawn runs ASLA's academic coaching programs and enjoys supporting students as they navigate the academic path, whether they be students with neurodivergent needs, queer-identifying students, or any student who is looking for support with learning and studying! Shawn is available Mondays and Tuesdays, 10am–3pm in the ASLA Office or on select Thursdays in the GSRC office, 11am-1pm. Make an appointment on .
Meet Sabrina! Sabrina (she/her) works primarily with Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ STEM students but is happy to help provide general consultations as well. Sabrina understands the challenges of navigating the sciences as an undergraduate student and can help provide tools to help you make the most of your study time. Sabrina is available on Wednesdays 10am-2pm and Thursdays 11am-4pm in the ASLA office. Make an appointment on .
Meetings are 30 minutes long and are in person. Requests for Zoom appointments can be made but are determined on a case-by-case basis. We encourage you to come in person so that we can get to know you better!
Please note that out of concern for your privacy, we cannot conduct an advising session if there is another person with you (even in a remote environment) unless you have provided a FERPA release.
